May 13

Students began working on their kites today.  We will be working on kites through Wednesday of next week.  At that time we will fly the kites.

Homework:  There will be no homework during this time. 

May12

Students worked on Geometer's Sketchpad today.  Tomorrow we will begin our kites.  All kite kits should have been purchased if not bring in $2.00 tomorrow to Mr. Lewis.

Homework:  Get a good night's sleep.  Student's whose progress reports just went out again need to work on bringing up their grades.

May 8

TEST Tomorrow on Probability

Students worked on Skills Tutor today and then started work on Geometers Sketchpad.

Homework:  Do pages 423-424 from work text.  Go over information on Theoretical and Experimental Probability.

May 6

Today students worked in groups to complete lab activity on page 676 of textbook.  Textbooks are to be brought to school daily.

Homework:  Kite Kits were due today.  Students are to complete assignments in Skills Tutor to a 80%. 

May 5

Students worked on Skills Tutor today to complete their assignments and to improve their scores.

KITE KITS are due tomorrow.  The School Store will be open in the morning.

Homework:  complete any skills tutor assignments that you have not mastered and print your results.

May 2

Today students did a lab found on page 676 of their textbooks.  We will complete this lab and turn it in next week.

Students had a book check today.  Math books are to be brought to school on Monday and will be used in class.  We will also be doing skills tutor so students may bring in headsets that will connect to the laptops. 

Homework:  Kite kits need to be brought in by Tuesday May 6th - the School Store is not open on Monday's so students have till Tuesday to get their supllies or kits.

April 29

The CRCT Testing is over!  Things will be returning to normal tomorrow.  We are working on probability.  Students will receive a letter tomorrow on a project that we will be doing the last 2 weeks of school.  They will need to purchase material to make a tetrahedron Kite.  There are kits being sold in the School Store for $2.00 or students can purchase their own materials.

Homework:  Get a good night's sleep and be ready for a regular schedule tomorrow. 

April 21

Today we checked COACH books lessons.  Students are to go over problems that they missed and work on any lessons for problems missed on the Pretest that we completed last week.  We will be working with Skills Tutor today and tomorrow, if students have headsets they can bring them to use during class with the laptops, so they can hear as well as read the instructions.

HOMEWORK: Work on problems missed on COACH PRETEST and any from last three lessons.  Lessons 9, 20 and 11.

April 17

Today students took a survey in Math class and then worked on Skills Tutor.  Students can work on Skills Tutor at home ANYTIME.  This is good practice and it will help them be successful on the CRCT.  Perfect Practice makes Perfect!  :-)  Working problems with fractions is GREAT PRACTICE.

Homework:  In COACH book Lesson 10 - Read pages 91-95 and then work problems 1-6 on Page 96-97.  Students MUST show ALL their work and steps to solve these problems.  This week we are doing lessons 9 -11 to review BEFORE the CRCT next week.

April 16

Today we went over pages 89-90 that was homework last night.  WE will be reviewing for the CRCT.  Students need to bring their COACH books with them to class daily.  y = kx  K is the constant and this is a new way to look at proportions

Homework:  Read pages 168 - 172 and complete practice problems on page 173-174.  This will be graded in class tomorrow.
