Hey Running Clubbers!
If you came to the meeting yesterday, (whoa what a turnout!) you know that your first running club date is on Thursday, September 4th. Mr. Haughey will be doing intramural running club on Thursdays, so you can either come in the morning at 7:50, or with Mrs. Hoots in the afternoon at 4:15. I can't wait to get back into the swing of running with you guys again!
New things to remember:
1. You MUST have your signed permission slips and emergency paperwork to run on Thursday.
2. Our running days have changed, due to the changes in the club. Mondays and Thursdays will be our running days.
3. The running club time has been shortened (again, due to changes) and we will run from 4:15-5:20. All club members must have a ride that can pick them up by 5:40 at the LATEST.
4. Also, due to our growing size, any parent volunteers who can run are welcome to join us. Please email me at Lindsay.davidson@cobbk12.org if you are interested.
5. Our only source of funds is through donations from club members. In order to do the neat stuff like we did last year, such as prizes and t-shirts, we are requesting a donation of 25 dollars per running club member.
6. If you would like to join, but did not get the permission slips, please stop by Mrs. Hoots' room, 432 and pick up the paperwork. Remember...this must be signed for you to be able to run. New members are welcome, so stop on by for the forms.
7. We need to start training for our fall racing season...make sure to bring your running shoes for track and for cross-country...and make sure they are broken in. You never know, we may even get to do a 10k this season!
