Monday - United Stream Video clips on Global Warming, renewable resources, and myth busters. Students took notes on these for ch. 10.
Tuesday - Today we are finishing reading 10-1, defining 10-1 vocabulary (8) words p. 351, and completing the workbook 10-1 p. 115-118 #1-25. Homework is to finish what is not completed in class.
Wednesday - 10-2 read, vocabulary and workbook for 10-2.
Thursday - 10-3 read, vocabulary and workbook 10-3. We also checked 10-1 and 10-2 workbook.
Friday - 10-4 read, vocabulary and workbook. We also checked 10-3 work.

Monday - Blocks 3, 1, 7. Complete 21 - 4 and 5: vocabulary and workbook sections.
Tuesday - Blocks 3, 2, 6: Complete 21 - 4 and 5: vocabulary and workbook sections.
Wed. - Each block checked 21-2 (if not already checked) 21-4 and 21-5 in the workbook. We also watched a video concerning meteors and comets. Thursday we will complete a 5 question "Almost There" and a review sheet on ch. 21-2,4, and 5. The review will count as an open book quiz and we will grade it Friday. It will go home on Thursday to be completed if students did not have time in class. It is short - 16 questions. We will continue Friday with Ch. 10. PROGRESS REPORTS CAME HOME TODAY TO BE SIGNED AND RETURNED, PLEASE.
Thursday - Progress report check; Chapter 21 review sheet given to be finished. "Almost There" taken in class.
Friday - graded ch. 21 review as a quiz grade. Moved on to Ch. 10 - 1 renewable and nonrenewable resources. Warm ups were checked.
Monday - turn in projects; CRCT review; no homework.
Tuesday - CRCT review. No homework. Bring two #2 pencils and a healthy snack from Wed. - Tuesday. Get enough sleep and a good breakfast!
Wed. - classes that met today: 3, 1, 7. Read 21-2. Define vocabulary. Workbook 21-2.
Thursday - Same as Wed. Classes met: 3, 2, 6.
Friday - Blocks: 1,3,7. Read 21-4 and 5. Complete vocab and workbook for 21-4 and 21-5. Whatever is not finished in class will be finished on Monday. It is not homework.
Monday - We are working on the "Postcards from the Galaxy" project this week. On Tuesday we will use computers to research our topics. I have asked for 20 unlined 5x7 index cards even though only 12 will be turned in on Monday, 4/21/08. Today, we will use the book as we did on Friday, 4/4, for research. Most of the needed information is in our book so students will be able to complete the research today and Tuesday. Wed. - Friday will be used for the writing section and finding drawings as well as placing the "Galaxy" together as needed by the rubric. If you have any questions, let me know. Enjoy!

Wed. - 20-1 workbook check; "almost there" ; study session for test. Hmwk: study for Thurs. test. Did you download the guide from Monday? There has been a copy of it on my door since Monday as well.
Thursday - Test; Project materials needed for ALL CLASSES: 20 5 x 7 index cards (unlined); metal ring to hold them or scrapbook pages/photo pages to hold them. An information sheet is coming home on Friday to explain the project. Students will need the materials upon returning from Spring break. Thank you in advance!
Friday - Went over requirements for all classes project for space. Read 20-2 and began taking notes. Each student will need 20 5 x 7 notecards - unlined; metal ring or fastener; OR scrapebook pages for postcards to be placed inside. This project will be due after Spring break and I will announce that date when we return. Thank you.
Monday - Ch. 17-18 test on Senteo and discussion questions. Clean out notebook except for today's warm up.
Tuesday - 19-1 reading, vocab and key ideas. Workbook 19-1; 1-16. I am going to give a retest on Wed. for Monday's test. You need to study. It will only be the Senteo version.
Wednesday - Retest. Read 19-2 and write a 1/2 page of notes.
Thursday - Check 19-1 workbook, vocab, and key ideas. Begin reading 19-2 and begin taking notes in the packet from Smartboard.
Friday - finish 19-2 notes from Smartboard. 19-2 workbook for homework if not finished in class.
Monday - 17-3 check; 17-4 packet. Test on Friday. AC project moved to Monday due date.
Tuesday - 17-4 check; 18-1 smartboard organizer completed while we read. Test on Friday. "Almost There" on Thursday. AC project due Monday.
Wed. - CRCT practice.
Thursday - finished notes on 18-1; read 18-3. Test is Monday. AC project is due Monday.
Friday - Warm up check (8). Read 18-4 and discussed. Went over what to study for the test. Students made a list from the board if they wanted to. In general, the packets from 17: 1,2,3,4 and 18-1 are to be studied with very little emphasis placed on 18-3 and 4. 25 questions from Senteo and 2 or 3 discussion questions will be on the test Monday. AC has their project to turn Monday although they may have turned it in Friday if they wanted to keep the original due date.Download chapter_17_18_study_guide.doc
