Students took an assessment today to see what their comprehension of some general measurement ideas are. We then spent time reteaching the missing bits of information and they will be reassessed tomorrow, next two Wednesdays.
Here are the questions asked ot the students: Measurement
Monday & Tuesday
Students will work on their PowerPoint presentations from Six Flags...any student not attending Six Flags will complete the alternate assignment in class.
Wednesday
Students will be completing a lab designing and building a hover craft from limited materials...they are required to write up the procedure and turn it in at the end of the class.
Thursday
Students will complete 3 buoyancy labs in class and present a writeup at the end of class.
Friday
Students will look at the proper way to write a lab report and then conduct an investigation to give them a chance to write a clearly developed report.

Today we focused on the concept of measurement...students will have a quiz on the DENSITY FORMULA tomorrow...practice some problems...here is the FORMULA---D=M/V---thats DENSITY = MASS divided by VOLUME...
Welcome back from Spring Break...
Today we focused on the CRCT and took a practice assessment to see where each individual is weakest. The rest of the week will be spent in group activities covering the material each individual is the weakest.
Remember that you can use the Skills Tutor site for practice activities, you can also look at the CRCT Test Prep Powerpoint (it will be updated daily with a new slide)...Remember ONLY 6 Days till the CRCT...
After completing todays UNRAAVEL and the CRCT Prep question, we worked on a few labs involving gravity and discussed what the findings were. Students focused on the following 3 topics:
Ball drop
Trajectory
H20 Free fall
We will continue to discuss gravity and reviewing for the CRCT tomorrow.
