  • Blocks 6 and 7 had 10 minutes to work on their Chicken Wing Labs.  I also returned their Bone Quiz II papers.
  • All blocks worked on a Blood Content Frame.  We discussed and filled in the organizer with info for a quiz on Friday.
  • All blocks began work on a Circulatory Person project that I will collect on or before this Friday.  We are VERY busy this week and it is IMPERATIVE that you keep up with what is going on in class.
  • ******  Homework  ******  You can work on your "Person" at home and get ahead if you have time.  Also, don't forget about the Blood Quiz for Friday.  MOST IMPORTANTLY - IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING THAT YOU OWE ME, IT MUST BE IN BY FRIDAY MORNING IN HOMEROOM!!!!!!  Time is running out guys!

  • Today was a strange schedule due to the writing test.  I did not even see my 6th and 7th blocks so we will be trying to catch back up tomorrow.
  • I returned Bone Quiz II and will enter them into IParent this afternoon so be sure to check for your new averages.
  • We will have a "crash" course on Circulation this week so be ready to start with blood tomorrow.
  • ******  Homework  ******  It is VERY important that you take care of any outstanding work!  Time is short - just nine days!  :)

  • The entire class time today was given to the Chicken Wing Dissection lab.  Students were to locate, observe and remove: muscle, tendon, ligament, skin, fat and bone.  There was not enough time to dissect and complete the lab sheet so there will be time alloted on Monday to finish up.
  • We will move on to blood and circulation next week.
  • I have graded Bone Quiz II but will not enter them into IParent until after I have returned them and given you a chance to ask questions about your quizzes.  Watch for them to show up on Monday PM.
  • *****  No Homework  *****  unless you have overdue items.

  • All blocks took Bone Quiz II.  I will grade and return these ASAP. 
  • There was time after the quiz to finish up the Muscle Lab from yesterday.  These papers were due today before the end of class.
  • A muscle video summarized the lessons for this week.
  • Don't forget the Chicken Wing Dissection Lab scheduled for tomorrow. Come in and get settled quickly, we will be pressed for time.

  • All blocks were allowed time to complete the muscle notes that we began yesterday.  We discussed these and they were turned in for points.
  • There was a Muscle Lab/Activity that took the rest of class.  These were due at the end of class as well.
  • *****  HOMEWORK  *****  STUDY FOR BONE QUIZ II!!  45 questions - 100 points.  Also, PLEASE bring signed progress reports, they are long overdue. Thanks.  :)

  • I returned the Owl Pellet lab sheets and the Bone Quiz I papers from yesterday.  My plan is to enter them into IParent this afternoon.  Please double check your new average for me and let me know if there are any discrepancies.
  • All blocks looked at different types of fractures.
  • We began a discussion of the Muscular System.  Students began notes and drawings that we will finish up tomorrow.

  • Students were allowed 10 minutes of class to review before Bone Quiz I
  • The quiz was exactly as I had shared with you.  I expect to grade and return them to you tomorrow.
  • Bill Nye on Bones and Muscles was next on the agenda with a Science World article on the same topic.

  • I reviewed the bone names again for Bone Quiz I on Monday.  Study the 23 names that are "bulleted" on your study sheet.
  • We continued with the notes for Bone Quiz II which will be next Thursday, May 8th.  These pertained to bone composition and joints.  If you missed class today it is VERY IMPORTANT that you see me about this information!!
