LEXILE INFORMATION

I recently shared with you your lexile number and range that you scored on last year's CRCT.  PLEASE REMEMBER that this number is only one measure of your "reading level," much like the accelerated reader program is another measure.  We are simply using the lexile score as a beginning place to choose books to read that are enjoyable and challenging.  After all, the best way to improve vocabulary and reading skills is to READ books that will challenge us!

If you have a title of a book and want to know its lexile score, do the following:

Go to www.lexile.com

Click on Book Search

Click on Book Search on the left hand column

Type the title and the author

If you want to find books within your lexile range and that may interest you, do the following:

Go to www.lexile.com/findabook/

Click on "Find a Book" on the lower right side

Choose to put in either your lexile number or your lexile range

Choose categories that may interest you.

Search and a list of books will appear in your range.

Click on the title to find more information on the book.

SEE ME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, etc.

HAPPY READING!
