Monday: Math Unraavel, KSS 27.  We also worked on Solving Systems of Equations with Substitution.  In class we did some sample problems and then worked on our KSS 27.  HW: Complete KSS 27 and Extra Credit Project FRED is due tomorrow.

Tuesday: KSS 27 Mental Math.  We completed some practice problems from solving systems of equations with substitution.  The homework is to complete the 6 problems of continued practice.  Download Substitution HW

Accelerated Math 1

Monday: We worked on Factoring Special Products.  In class we began working on pg 97 1-15.  HW: Complete classwork, KSS 27, and the FRED extra credit project is also due tomorrow.

Tuesday: KSS27 Mental Math    Continue with Special Products and begin Factoring with Grouping.  CW: pg. 97 #13-29 odd and pg. 102 #1-21 odd.  We will be reviewing in class tomorrow for a quiz for Thursday.

Monday: Keeping Skills Sharp 25.  Math Unraavel.  Work on Proportional Parts of Transversals.  HW: Complete KSS 25

Tuesday: Worked on CRCT Practice Data Analysis.  Each student areas of weakness to begin reviewing areas of need.  Test over Unit 6 will be Thursday.

Wednesday: Reviewed for Unit 6 Test.  Study Guide was given in class.  Download Unit 6 review Attached is the Review answer document.   Download Unit 6 review answer guide  Mr. Lewis will be at 8:15 for extra help if needed.

Thursday: Test over Unit 6.  Students will work on CRCT review after the test.

Tuesday: Completed 2.4 discussion. Worked in our workbook pg. 78-79 1-23

Wednesday: Discussed 2.4 homework.  Began disussion of Solving Polynomal Equations.  Worked in Workbook pg. 83 1-12

Thursday: Discussed 2.5 homework.  We worked in the workbook for extra practice.  We aslo discussed factoring and completed problems 1-9 in the workbook from 2.6.

Friday: Discussed homework and did practice from 2.6.

Week of February 16-20

Math 8

Tuesday: The students worked the KSS 24.  The parent letter for unit 6 was handed out.  It must be signed by Tuesday.  The students are to write each word, the definition, and draw or make an illustration for each term.  The KSS 24 is due Tuesday.  The definitions are due Thursday.  Download KSS 24

Wednesday:  Discussed the parts of congruence.  Parallel lines with transversal.  HW: Complete Vocab work.

Thursday: We worked on special angle relationships.  The practice was on senteo.  The homework was using the parallel lines with a transversal to solve for x.  1-3 were congruent: 4x = 48, and 4-6 were supplementary: 9x + 7 + 115 = 180.

Friday: We worked in the coach workbook as reviewing skills for the CRCT.  We worked on Scientific Notation, Squares and square roots, and Parallel and perpendicular lines.

 

Accelerated Math1

Tuesday: Worked on KSS 24.  We discussed adding, subtracting, and multiplying polynomials.  Homework: pg. 61 #7-11 odd and pg. 66 1-9 odd

Wednesday: Discussed the homework.  Began discussion on Special products of squares.  Bring materials to work on the computers in class for Think-Tac-Toe Project. 

Thursday: Worked on our project.  Due to internet issues, the project due date is now Monday.

Friday: We worked on special products of polynomials.

Week of February 9-13

Math 8

Monday: Worked on Graphing Inequalities.  Complete problems 44-47 from the review packet for homework.  The rest of the packet is due Wednesday. 

Tuesday: Reviewed homework problems 44-47.  Classwork: Worktext pages 402, 405-407.  Homework: Complete review packet.

Wednesday: Keeping skills Sharp 23.  We also did a Think-Tac-Toe for review of linear equations.  HW: Complete the Keeping Skills Sharp 23.

Thursday: We turned in the KSS 23 and did a CRCT Practice Pretest.  We will be using the scores from the pretest to help each student work on the areas of difficulty they need to focus on.  No Homework

Friday: Completed the pretest.

 

Accelerated Math 1

Monday: Returned test.  Test corrections are due Thursday.  We continued working on the Surveillance task.  It is due at the end of class Tuesday. 

Tuesday: Completed the Surveillance task.  test Corrections due Thursday.

Wednesday: Think Tac Toe review of linear equations. 

Thursday: CRCT Practice Pretest.  We will be using the scores from the pretest to help each student work on the areas of difficulty they need to focus on.  No Homework

Friday: Completed the pretest.  The students were also given a Think-Tac-Toe assignment.  The assignment will be due Feb. 20.  It will count as a quiz grade.

Week of Feb 2-6

Math 8

Monday: We did our Math Unraavel and checked the Keeping Skills Sharp 21 from Friday.  We also discussed using slope intercept with sequences and completed some practice problems.  Tomorrow we are going to take a quiz over sequences and slope.

Tuesday: We took a quiz over Sequences and slope.  After the quiz, we worked on Keeping Skills Sharp 22.

Wednesday: We completed the Keeping Skills sharp 22 and Worked on Worktext pgs. 253 & 259

Wednesday: Discussed Tuesday's Homework and worked on Sequences.  Classwork was to complete Worktext pages 421-424.  Homework was to complete classwork.

Thursday: We discussed the homework on Sequence.  We completed class with some sequence practice.  No homework.

Friday: Keeping Skills Sharp 21

Accelerated Math 1

Monday: We completed the Keeping Skills Sharp 20.  Also we did our Math Unraavel. We worked on Section 6.6.  Complete pg 220 1-18.

Tuesday: We worked on section 6.7. Complete pg 228 1-19

Wednesday: We discussed the homework.  Complete page 226 1-19 odd for homework.

Thursday: We discussed the homework.  We also discussed Section 6.8.  Homework is pg. 232 1-15 odd.

Friday: Worked on Volume and Surface Area of Spheres.
