Today the music department kicked off the music fundraiser with Encore. We sent home a letter explaining the purpose for doing fundraisers in the music department. If you did not receive a letter, please ask your child to get an extra from me. There are several FAQ's that I would like to attempt to answer for you on this blog. If you have any further questions, please contact me.

Q. Why is my child being asked to raise funds for orchestra?
A. To provide the best possible music education for our students, additional funds are often necessary. Please read the letter that was sent home with your child to find out specific examples of how additional money helps the program.
Q. How long will this fundraiser last?
A. 2 weeks. The fundraiser starts today and ends on October 21st.
Q. When are the order forms and money due?
A. Money and forms are due on October 21st.
Q. Why are customers supposed to make checks payable to parents?
A. We are trying to limit the amount of checks processed at our school. We are asking that parents deposit the collected money into their own bank accounts and then write ONE (1) CHECK payable to Durham Middle School. We have over 500 students participating in this fundraiser, so please help us to diminish the amount of processing for our bookkeeper. Cash is also accepted.
Q. When is the delivery date?
A. Delivery is the week of November 17th. The actual date will be determined closer to this week. You will have the goods before Thanksgiving!!
Q. How do I get the items?
A. We will set up times after school for order pickups. Please deliver the items to customers as soon as you can.
