SUMMER READING FUN

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all your book ideas!  Since summer is always longer than you think it is going to be and there is lots of down time, I compiled a list today in class of books that might be fun to read.  These are books you and your classmates said are "WORTH THE READ".

Feel free to print out the list, go to the library and have some fun reading this summer!  Share the list with family and friends.  Just don't forget to jump into a good book after you explore the world around you.  Smiles, MS. H.

All classes are working on a project called GEOBOTS.  This project incorporates all of the skills we learned this year and it is WORTH 200 POINTS toward your final grade. . . DO YOUR BEST!

Detailed instructions were handed out last Friday.  Students were given the opportunity to work alone or with a partner of their choosing.  Students who choose partners, know that they are responsible for managing the workload AND that both partners will receive the same grade regardless of individual contributions.

Due dates for the project are as follows:

Part 1: Model and Poster are due this THURSDAY, May 7th at the beginning of class.  Since we are relying on everyone to have their model at this time, there will be a significant grading penalty for students who do not complete this part of the project on time.

Part 3 Logo and Slogan are due on Friday, May 8th.

Part 2 and the entire project is due on Monday, May 11th.

I will not accept any projects that are completed after Homeroom on Wednesday the 13th.
