CONGRATULATIONS TO DURHAM ALL-STATE STUDENTS who auditioned at Woodland HS on Saturday, October 13, 2007. The scores were incredible - the best since I have been at Durham!!! Congratulations to our students.
Announcements
GMEA 7th and 8th grade Honors rehearsals begin this week on Monday, October 15 for Treble choir and next week, Wednesday, October 24 for Mixed choir.
Bel Canto GMEA Convention Forms and downpayments are due this Friday. The trip downpayment is $50. There are four forms that have to be turned in.
Formal Uniforms will be distributed this week (please see email sent)

7th Grade Chorus - Sight Reading in minor Test on Tuesday, October 2, 2007
8th Grade Chorus - Students will listen to recorded examples of selections and evaluate them, suggesting strategies for improvement.
7th Grade Guitar - Listen to your compositions and complete composition reflection.
8th Grade Guitar Test - Test on Imagine (play any two consecutive lines). Listen to your compositions in class and complete composition reflection.

DURHAM BEL CANTO TO PERFORM AT 2008 GMEA CONVENTION IN SAVANNAH
Durham's Bel Canto Choir has been invited by the Georgia Music Educator's Association to perform at the 2008 Georgia Music Educator's Convention. The choir was selected by a committee that reviewed CD's from choirs throughout the state. Their performance will be Thursday night, January 24, 2008 at 7:30 p.m., Christ's Church in Savannah. Way to go!!!
