Final exam tomorrow. Use the CRCT study guides! The test will be 40 multiple choice questions on Senteo. All questions will be taken from previous tests. We will continue with the toy project on Wednesday. 9 days to go!!!

Please have your materials to build your rocket in class on Monday! You and your partner will need an empty soda bottle (preferably a Coca-Cola product - it will fit the rocket launcher the best), and whatever else you want to use to make a cone and fins including tape, glue, etc.
We will launch the rockets on Tuesday (rain date Wednesday)
Wednesday we will introduce our final toy project.
Thursday and Friday will be days to conduct research for your project.

This week we will be continuing to prepare for the CRCT which is on Friday for science. After the CRCT, we will begin a unit on rockets and flight. As an introduction to this unit, we will watch the movie "October Sky". This movie is rated PG so we will require a signed permission slip for each student. You may download a copy of the permission slip and bring it in by Friday or take home a copy which will be given out in class either Wed or Thur). Thank you for your cooperation!

Tuesday - structure of matter
Wednesday - energy and its transformation
Thursday - force and motion
Friday - putting it all together
Keep in mind that the study guides may be USED ON THE FINAL EXAM!

- Monday - returned tests, made corrections for partial credit
- Tuesday - we start compacting with the other 8th grade science classes - each teacher is responsible for a different strand and the students are divided according to their weakness on the pretest taken last Friday
- Wednesday - Friday - compacting continues with a post test on Friday!
- Next week, in keeping with the Olympic Week theme, we will be playing review games and posting our scores to compete with the other teams (8-1 and 8-2)
- 10 days until spring break!!!!
