Today we began reviewing for the CRCT with the Coach Books.  You should begin working at home to review for the CRCT - you can use your textbook, your Coach book if you bought one at the bookstore, or Skillstutor.

April 14th

Class Notes:

Today we worked on direct variation.  HW:  Worktext p. 417 and p. 424  (on p. 417 skip #1 & 2)

April 13th

Today we reviewed probability with a warm-up that we turned in:

1.  Given a standard deck of cards, what is the theoretical probability of pulling a face card?

2.  What is the probability of pulling a club?

3.  Explain the difference between theoretical and experimental probability.

Direct Variation worksheet- finish for homework.

April 2nd

Class Notes:

Sorry I was not able to get the blog to work yesterday.  The homework yesterday was p. 423 in the worktext.  I checked it today.  Also we worked on pp. 412, 413, and 417 in class yesterday.  This is all on probability.  Today we took the Benchmark Assessment which is just being used to  place students in groups based on weakest skill area for the CRCT review which we will begin the Wednesday after Spring Break.  Remember the CRCT coach book for math is on sale in the school store now for $10.00.  No new HW tonight.  Skillstutor is always a good way to study if you need something to do though.

Today we went over the homework (CRCT review problems) and practiced direct variation.  HW:  GA 25 and 26 in the textbook.

There are CRCT Coach books for Math on sale in the school store for $10.00 beginning Tuesday, March 31st!!  I have a class set that we will be using to review, but if you want your own copy to write in, take home with you, etc. please buy one.  This is one of the best ways to review for the CRCT since the questions are specifically written according to the GA performance standards.

Today we reviewed direct variation and hopefully made you feel better about Unit 8.  HW:  GA 23 and GA 24 in the textbook.

Today we worked on Skillstutor for Unit 8.  You can still work on this at home when you have time.  This will help you later on.  HW:  GA 18 and 19 in the textbook

Today we made a graphic organizer for our notes on Unit 8.  We will be exploring direct variations.  You can look at Chapter 11 Section 3 for a resource.  HW:  GA 16 and 17 in textbook

March 20th

Today we took the test for Volume.  No HW  If you didn't get to finish your test, you can come in early on Monday to take it.
