Block 1

Watched a video on global warming.  Will watch a video on persuasion tomorrow.  We will begin chapter 10 next week.  No homework.

Block 2

Thursday - Progress report check; Chapter 21 review sheet given to be finished.  "Almost There" taken in class.

Friday - graded ch. 21 review as a quiz grade.  Moved on to Ch. 10 - 1 renewable and nonrenewable resources.

Block 6

Today we finished watching videos about planets in the universe.  Tomorrow we we will start chapter 20.

Block 7

May 1st

We went over the study guide in class today to prepare for the test.  The test will be tomorrow.  We will also begin our study of Human Impact tomorrow.

Homework:  Study for test

Wildcat Tutoring:  I will be holding a Wildcat Tutoring session on Tuesday for any student who needs the extra help.

Block 1

Today we participated in CRCT practice to prepare ourselves for the CRCT next week.  No homework.

Block 2

Thursday - Working on postcard in class.  Due on Monday.  Be ready!

Lunch on the Lawn Friday!  Bring a Beach Towel. . . .

Friday - Last day of class time to work on "Post Cards from the Galaxy."  Due:  Monday!  Wear your Olympic T-shirts Monday for pep rally on the CRCT's!

Block 6

Today we finished taking notes on chapter 18, section 1 - CLIMATE.  Monday we will have an open notes test on that section and then move on to chapter 19 - SPACE. No homework

Block 7

April 18th

We worked on CRCT review on Rocks and Minerals. 

Homework:  Postcards are due at the beginning of class on Monday.

CRCT Wildcat Tutoring:  Science Wildcat Tutoring will be on Tuesday, April 22nd.

April 14 - 16 -- AGENDA

BLOCK 1

Monday - We finished working on our solar system project.  Homework: Solar System project due tomorrow.

Tuesday - Today we turned in our Solar System project and began reading 21-2.  Homework: none

Wednesday -Today we finished reading 21-2 about the stars and discussed constellations.  No homework.

BLOCK 2

Monday - We are working on the "Postcards from the Galaxy" project this week.  On Tuesday we will use computers to research our topics.  I have asked for 20 unlined 5x7 index cards even though only 12 will be turned in on Monday, 4/21/08.  Today, we will use the book as we did on Friday, 4/4, for research.  Most of the needed information is in our book so students will be able to complete the research today and Tuesday.  Wed. - Friday will be used for the writing section and finding drawings as well as placing the "Galaxy" together as needed by the rubric.  If you have any questions, let me know.  Enjoy!

Tuesday - Research with computers or your textbook for the project.  Due Date:  4/21.

Wed. - Research should be finished.  You should be writing your postcards and coloring/decorating the cards now.  Due:  Monday.

BLOCK 6

"Postcards from the Planets":  Students need to have 5 x 8 index cards to complete this project.  They can be purchased at Staples or Office Max.  This is an in class project, but they can print pictures of the planets from home if they would like. 

Homework:  Students must complete their graphic organizer for the planets for homework.  This will be taken as a grade.

We are having Wildcat Tutoring for CRCT this week until Tuesday.  Students can come to get prepared for the test.

Homework:  Test corrections.  If a student scored less than an 85% on their Chapter 19 & 20 test, they may make the corrections and turn it back in to earn back half of the points.

Welcome Back from Spring Break!!  I had a wonderful time and I hope that all of my students did also.  We are back to school and getting ready for CRCT's.  Today we took a pratice CRCT test and will finish it up tomorrow.  I have a review that the students will be going over up to the CRCT test.

Block 2

Friday - Went over requirements for all classes project for space.  Read 20-2 and began taking notes.  Each student will need 20 5 x 7 or larger notecards - unlined; metal ring or fastener; OR scrapbook pages for postcards to be placed inside.  This project will be due after Spring break and I will announce that date when we return.  Thank you.

Block 6

Today we took the chapter 17 test.  Everyone did well!!! Check out I-Parent.

Block 7

AGENDA - April 1, 2008

Block 1

Today we took the test for 19-1, 19-2, & 20-1.  We were also given instructions for our "Post Cards from the Solar System" project, which is due the Tuesday after Spring Break.  We will be using class time to collect data and create.  Homework: Review the project with your parents.

Block 2

Today we graded chapter 19, section 2 in the workbook.  We then read chapter 20, section 1.  Homework: complete 20-1 in the workbook.  Test Thursday!!!

Block 6

Today we read chapter 17, section 4 on weather forcasting.  We began a forcasting activity, which we will complete tomorrow.  We will also watch a video on forcasting weather.  Tomorrow we will start reviewing for the chapter 17 test, which will be administered on Friday.  The study guide will go out tomorrow (o=

We finished up Chapter 20 Section 1.

Homework:  Finish Ch 20 Sect 1 in workbook

AGENDA - March 31 - April 4, 2008

Block 1

Today we almost finished 19-2 taking notes and discussing.  We will finish it Monday and discuss the test for tuesday.  I will be here for tutoring on Tuesday morning if you would like to come in.  I have attached a study guide for you:

What a great beginning to the week.  Olympics started today.  We have great team spirit.

Today we took the 17 and 18 test and did the math unravel.  You are supposed to read chapter 19 section 1 page 636, do the review questions pg.643 #1-5 and define key terms page 665, section 1 only.

Block 2

Tuesday - 19-1 reading, vocab and key ideas.  Workbook 19-1; 1-16.  I am going to give a retest on Wed. for Monday's test.  You need to study.  It will only be the Senteo version.

Block 6

Today we read chapter 17, section 2 on storms.  No homework.

Block 7

Today we took the chapter 17/18 test.  No homework.
