Bookfair - 50% off - it runs from Friday the 9th until Tuesday the 13th - a good time to think of those summer reading assignments (fiction and non-fiction)

***Students, bring  all textbooks from home and keep in your locker until they are collected

***We will complete the mock writing assessment on Monday the 12th - bring 3 sheets of notebook paper, 2 pencils, and a blue or black ink pen to homeroom.

WELCOME BACK!  I hope everyone had a rested Spring Break. 

Block 3, 5 & 6

This week students will work on  basic skills and solidify skills that need remediation.

HW: Complete any work owed.  Practice Skills Tutor and/or OAS skills on-line to prepare for the CRCT.

Students will analyze the story elements and be tested on material covered in class.

On Wed. and Friday students will work on Skills Tutor in the Reading Lab to strengthen skills.

We are also working on a project to reinforce literary skills.

Research on the king cobra and mongoose from the school web site must be turned in for a grade by today (Monday the 24th)

After reading Rudyard Kipling's short story "Rikki-tikki-tavi", students will complete a plot development chart, a vocabulary activity, and a compare/contrast chart. When these activities are completed, students will be tested over the selection.

Students will complete research on the king cobra and mongoose from the school web site. Go to "Projects"-language arts- "Rikki-tikki-tavi"

After reading Rudyard Kipling's short story "Rikki-tikki-tavi", students will complete a plot development chart, a vocabulary activity, and a compare/contrast chart. When these activities are completed, students will be tested over the selection.

Homework: complete any research not finished in class
